A BIT ABOUT ME

Hi there, my name is Laura Carey. I’m a 200hr YAI registered yoga teacher passionate about bringing a safe and fulfilling movement practice to my students. I started my own yoga practice 10 years ago, enjoying in person class as well as the accessibility of online and youtube classes - a blend I continue to this day. I was initially drawn to yoga as a supplement to my dancing career, and the fulfilment and joy I get from yoga in my daily life has led me to teaching. I hope to bring a sense of peace and an ease of movement to all my students.
As a movement practitioner I’m highly experienced having trained as a professional dancer and a personal trainer before embarking on my yoga teacher journey. I love to use this integrated knowledge to create fun and in depth classes that will both challenge and nurture you as a student of yoga. I’m known for my calming guided meditations as well as fun and creative hatha flows. I am passionate about ensuring accessibility for all students and creating a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment. Students of all abilities can relax into meditation and asana practice with ease - props are a yogis best friend! I enjoy honouring the roots of yoga by bringing in dhyana and pranayama into our practice as well as honouring the body with safe alignment and technique.
I offer a range of online and local classes. In private sessions I love to work with students on a one-to-one basis so I can really get into the nitty gritty of what you’d like from your yoga practice and completely tailor it to you. Private group classes are available upon request. Our online classes prove popular and here we can build a safe and fulfilling yoga practice from the comfort of your own safe space. I am delighted to offer a local class in Higham Ferrers, Northants - held every Friday 6-7pm. Classes are suitable for new comers through to those with more experience as plenty of options and modifications will be available each class.

I look forward to practicing with you soon!
